“Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.”
– Sir Winston Churchill British politician (1874 – 1965).
This is Fernando Quijano III’s favorite quote. Fernando is a showman, a truly modest man, and a very talented writer. He just finished his term as vice-president of the Maryland Writers’ Association and now he is president of the Baltimore chapter of the MWA. His work has been featured in “Welter,” “Smile Hon, You’re in Baltimore” and the poetry anthology, “Life in Me Like Grass on Fire.” He uses twitter, facebook and blogs (as “thewordpimp”) to communicate his appearances and is a columnist for theurbantwist.com. Fernando was awarded a grant for his poetry writing by the William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund. He will speak on his life and success as a writer using social media. For more information on the writer’s work, see his website thewordpimpspits.blogspot.com.
Fernando agreed to speak at the Maryland Writers’ Association Annapolis Chapter meeting on Wednesday July 18, 2012.
